Diane J. Johnson, Ph.D., M.Div
Diane is Founder and President of Mmapeu Management Consulting established in 1992. She is deeply committed to helping the widest array of community stakeholders engage in organizational and institutional transformation that results in dynamic, effective and innovative solutions to intractable problems.
Diane has trained, consulted and coached over 8,125 leaders and managers from social sector organizations, national initiatives, municipalities and foundations. Her work focuses on achieving strategic clarity of organizational vision, developing and implementing leadership programs, executive coaching, and creating and evaluating dynamic programs. Areas of expertise include cross-sector collaboration, educational reform, community development, faith-based partnerships, and diversity and inclusion. Diane received her Ph.D. from Tufts University in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Masters in Divinity from Pacific School of Religion/The Graduate Theological Union, her M.A. in Nonprofit Management from The New School, and a B.A. in Communications from The Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Recent clients include Bureau of Land Management, California WIC, FAITHS – A San Francisco Foundation Initiative, Habitat for Humanity International, Impact Hub Oakland, Middlebury College, Northern California Grantmakers, and the U.S. Forest Service. She is an ordained minister within the progressive Christian denomination of the United Church of Christ, a former chef, a musician and a dancer.
