Description

Executive Time Management

Center for Management Research

This innovative workshop on time management for executives and managers is based on Marilyn’s acclaimed book, It’s Hard to Make a Difference When You Can’t Find Your Keys (Penguin Compass, 2004). The comprehensive approach presented here is more sustainable than the typical “get more done in less time” method. It enables executives to develop abilities to draw on their aspirations, think strategically, build supportive connections and maintain energy. Participants use these skills to re-examine how they manage workload, priorities, tradeoffs, and work-life balance. They also learn what it takes to change ingrained time management habits.

Encompassing Multiple Perspectives Using Systems Thinking

Synergy at Work, Pegasus Conference

Systems Thinking offers powerful approaches for enabling groups with different perspectives on a problem to synthesize their views into a more accurate and compelling picture of the whole. Using guidelines for encompassing multiple perspectives, system archetypes, and case examples, you will learn how to create conversations that illuminate the underlying interdependencies across diverse groups and develop commitment to opportunities that benefit everyone. Cases include strengthening cross-functional collaboration in a large company and supporting a community-wide effort to end homelessness.
